GUI Interface for GrADS (netCDF files) Easy to use interface if you only want to look at your data !! from: Hans-Stefan Bauer MPI for Meteorology Bundesstrasse 55 20146 Hamburg Germany stefan.bauer@dkrz.de Necessary: GrADS with netCDF support (href="http://grads.iges.org/grads/) Put scripts in your "script"-directory Set environment variable GASCRP to this directory Copy land-sea mask files (t106.map, ...) to the directory from where you start GrADS or into the directory to which the environment variable GADDIR points. Start GrADS Start the script with "run view.gs" from the GrADS prompt. Your netCDF files need to be in the same directory that you start grads from. Then the graphics window will show you a list of files to choose from. for printing make sure that the "gxeps" program is in the directory GADDIR points to Test netCDF file "tra14.nc" IMPORTANT !! At the moment netCDF input files should only consist of either 2D or 3D fields, a mixture may lead to unexpected results. The stability of the script could be improved. So, if it crashes, don't complain, but just restart.
